How many times have we heard this word at the end of a yoga class?
A soft sound, a simple gesture—hands gently pressed together at the heart. But what does Namaste truly mean? Rooted in ancient Sanskrit, Namaste is more than just a greeting; it carries the essence of deep reverence and connection.
At its core, it means:"The light in me honors the light in you."
It is an acknowledgment of the divine, a recognition of the sacred space within each of us. When we say Namaste, we bow—not just in gesture but in spirit—to the beauty, wisdom, and presence that exist in one another.
It reminds us that beyond our differences, beyond our daily masks and roles, we are all part of the same vast web of existence. We are interconnected, breathing the same air, moving through life’s rhythms together.
So, whether whispered in stillness or spoken aloud with gratitude,
Namaste is an invitation to see and be seen—to meet one another with kindness, respect, and presence.
And today, in this very moment, from my heart to yours: Namaste
