About the event
Yoga Nidra is also called lucid sleep yoga since in Sanskrit “nidra” means “sleep”, deep sleep, without dreams. This practice is a relaxation method that resembles a guided meditation, an inner journey acting on the whole body. It is most often practiced in a lying position on the floor in “Savasana” with eyes closed. The yogi is guided by the teacher towards meditation and relaxation exercises which are done mentally (concentrating on a part of the body, on breathing, on a visualization, repeating a mantra). It thus allows conscious access to the unconscious.
Yoga Nidra is often practiced by people who want to improve their quality of sleep. The goal is to remain conscious and above all still to promote concentration. During the exercise, the mind gradually sinks into a state of semi-awakeness. And we come out in great shape.
